The Media Center
The Airwaves Center (Media Center) is an indispensable part of the festival. Through the years it has been located at various bars/restaurants in downtown Reykjavik, in walking distance from all the festival venues.
At the Airwaves Center, festival goers can pick up their festival passes, purchase Airwaves t-shirts and CDs, annoy the Airwaves staff with weird questions and hook up with other festival goers.
This year the Airwaves Centre will be located at the Center Hotel Plaza, the Plaza and in fact all Center Hotels are located in the city center right in the middle of where it‘s all happening and only short walking distance to the festival venues. The Center Hotel Plaza has a great lounge and bar equipped with Free Wi-Fi which is available to all festival goers.
NOTE: Please bring your midi.is email confirmation and photo ID, and we will give you your festival or media pass.

We're expecting around 6000 eager festival-goers, musicians, press and music industry peeps to our Media Center at Center Hotel Plaza, Aðalstræti 4, to pick up their wristbands. It'll be crazy busy and we want to be prepared and would like to prepare you guys as well!
Those with vouchers have two options:
A. Take your midi.is voucher (confirmation e-mail) and photo ID to Brim (Laugavegur 71 or Kringlan Shopping Mall) and get a ticket. Please note that the name on the voucher has to match with photo ID. Then you can swap the ticket for an Iceland Airwaves wristband at our Media Center at Center Hotel Plaza, Aðalstræti 4. This will get you your wristband a lot faster since we don't have to look you up in our system. Great for you and us too!
B. Bring your midi.is or Icelandair voucher, along with a photo ID, to our Media Center, at Center Hotel Plaza, Aðalstræti 4. Please note that your photo ID HAS to match with the name on the voucher/confirmation.
